ABOUT I-JOIST TECHNOLOGY

The technology of the wooden I-joist has come to us from the north of America. One of the pioneers in the production of wooden I-joists was Trus Joist Corporation (TJ). They released the first beam back in 1969, as a solution for the wooden housing construction market in terms of overlapping large spans and strengthening floor floors. Until 1977, he made beams of plywood as a rack and durable lumber of bars as a shelf. Then Trus Joist Corporation changed the design and began using one of its inventions, Microllam, the first laminated veneer (LVL), which replaced the standard block as a shelf. This allowed not only to increase the bearing capacity of the beam, but also made it possible to produce it in large lengths up to 16 meters.

Another turning point in the technology of wooden I-joist was the transition from plywood to an approximately chipboard or OSB. This happened in 1990. OSB is less expensive, more affordable and more durable than plywood. In particular, it has high shear values, due to the specificity of gluing, when all the fibers are essentially woven together. Today, almost every manufacturer uses only OSB boards in their residential and commercial products. Another company from the founders of the production of wooden I-beams was the Canadian company Nascor Incorporeted. She not only improved the production of beams, but also patented the technology of building houses using I-joists. It is on Nascor equipment that we produce our wooden I-joists, which guarantees the highest quality products.

I-JOIST TYPES

Type: I-joist

Height: 241 mm, 302 mm, 356 mm, 406 mm

Flange dimensions: 64 х 38 mm
The I-joist are used mainly in projects for residential and commercial
construction. Due to their wide flanges, the beams of the I-joist model
have larger area for nailing and have high strength.

Type: I-joist.W

Height: 241 mm, 302 mm, 356 mm, 406 mm, 457 mm Flange dimensions:
89 х 38 mm

The beams of the I-joist.W model are used in buildings with extremely
high load or over long spans. Such beams are used mainly in the
construction of commercial projects and are ideal for use as rafters.

USAGE

I-joist are used as ceiling beams, roof rafters, wall supports. Separate recommendation for energy-efficient buildings

WALLS

The walls of I-joist are incredibly warm! An ordinary wall has the problems of a linear thermal bridge, which is simply not possible in an I-joist. The I-joist section eliminates all heat loss.

The facade of a frame house from an I-beam can be finished with any coverings-from siding to plaster, clinker bricks and printed concrete.

CEILING AND FLOORS

The ratio of the strength of the floor and its weight is the main property of I-joist!

Dimensional deviations that cause the floor to creak are excluded. Cracking? Forget it!

Finishing options, as always, are up to You. Ceramic tiles, floor panels, laminate, stretch ceilings, anything! Any configuration is possible.

ROOF

I-joist act as rafters in both detached buildings and apartment buildings, and they are more efficient and stronger than conventional rectangular cross-section rafters. Whatever your roof is – double-sided, one-sided, flat, or as in the houses of Gaudi-I-beam will provide strength for decades! And, as always, it doesn't matter what types of finishes are applied. Tiles, metal tiles, tiles, concrete, etc.

ABOUT US

Good day, my name is Dan, I am a CEO in "Karkas complete".

Our company with more than 20 years of history, was founded in 1996 and specialized in woodworking. In 2006, a new production line was opened — wooden I-joist. Canadian Nascor equipment was purchased and commissioning works were carried out with the participation of canadian experts on the patented technology from the world leader in the industry. An international system of product testing and testing was developed and implemented.
All products passed not only the certification process in Russia and the European Union, but also were additionally tested in well-known laboratories for non-combustibility and strength and showed excellent results. All tests and certificates only confirmed the high quality of our products.
